Whose tomb is it really?

Whose Tomb is it?

Boiled down to its core hope, following Jesus is about following him into heaven. That may sound silly to those who don’t believe in him or in an afterlife. But without silly hope, life is tragic-comedy: you’re born, you act like it matters, and then you die, and it didn’t.

This is why the Empty Tomb is such a powerful message, …because it’s really our own emptiness we are staring into, and hope to be rescued from. It’s our stone he rolled away.

That sounds dangerously simplistic, but the truth often is.

To believe in something greater than yourself
is a weakness that’s stronger than the emptiness.
